Working closely with the client family, we developed a design language that reflects their appreciation for contemporary aesthetics while maintaining the comfort and functionality essential for a family home. The result is a harmonious blend of clean lines, textured surfaces, and carefully considered lighting that transforms the space throughout the day.
Materiality & Texture
We chose a palette grounded in earth tones. Premium Italian marble provides a cool, sleek foundation, contrasting beautifully with the warmth of walnut wood paneling that wraps the central core of the home. Hand-tufted rugs and linen drapery add softness, absorbing sound and softening the architectural rigidity.
The lighting strategy was pivotal. Rather than relying solely on overhead downlights, we layered ambient, task, and accent lighting. Custom-fabricated brass fixtures act as jewelry for the home, adding a touch of metallic brilliance to the muted color scheme.
